High School Football: No. 7 IMG Academy stunned by American Heritage in opener

Nick Eubanks saves the day with late interception return for a touchdown.

The squad stacked with national recruits was stunned in the season opener.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), the nation's No. 1 team according to the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, and preseason No. 7 in the Xcellent 25, has started the season with a loss.

No shame, however, losing to American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.)
According to baynews9.com, quarterback Jason Brown threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns and Nick Eubanks caught a TD pass and returned an interception for another score.

Shea Patterson, the nation's top-rated senior quarterback according to 247Sports, threw for 180 yards and rushed for a touchdown, but it wasn't enough for IMG Academy.

IMG was actually going in for a potential game-winning touchdown, but Eubanks made the interception and added the finishing touches with his second TD of the game.
