(November 24, 2014: Tampa, FL 33612) Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix (Tampa, FL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Strawberry Crest Chargers (Dover, FL), 94-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Freedom (Tampa, FL) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 25. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Freedom won 66-45 in their recent non-league bout against St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL)

Next up, the Chargers play the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons (St. Petersburg, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 25.Strawberry Crest will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. (November 24, 2014: Tampa, FL 33612) Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix (Tampa, FL) and the visiting Middleton Tigers (Tampa, FL), saw Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate's basketball squad hold off Middleton by a tally of 50-45.

With the victory, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. Linebacker Willie Smith takes handoff from opposing quarterback for a touchdown

Mount Dora (Fla.) linebacker Willie Smith took a handoff from Tavares (Fla.) quarterback Austin Tomson and rushed into the end zone.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Smith executed a near-perfect blitz, shooting right up a hole created by a pulling guard.

Tomson had just spun around and faked a pitch to the running back. As he got his feet planted, there was Smith, who ripped the ball out of his hands and sprinted into the end zone, almost as if he were a running back.
